Rifle Association Meeting.

NEW ZEALANDERS’ SCORES.

By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, last night. At the Rifle Association Meeting the weather was fine and cool, hut the wind was troublesome and somewhat capricious.. The Westralian match, 600yds, was won by Hollard with a score of 45, taking £6; Robinson, with 42, won £l. The Hopetoun aggregate match was won by Young, of Victoria, with a score of 120. Winslade, of Ney ZeaJadd, was seventeenth, with 112, and took £4. Hollard, twenty-fifth with 110,«took £3. In the Tasmanian match, which was won by Driver Lone, of the Army Service Corps, with the score of 48, Ingpen (New Zealand) tied with several with the same score, and in the shoot off took the third prize—viz., £3. Other New Zealand prize-winners were:— Jessop, £2; G. J. Mclntosh, Winslande, and McKattie, £1 each.

In the Queensland match, Chisholm, of Kiama, won the first prize with a score of 50. The New Zealand prize-winners were:—Robinson and McGregor 46, Stedman and Gatland 45, Loveday 44, Ingpen 43, £1 each. At the annual meeting of the National Rifle Association the Federal and Stata Ministers were not present, owing to Sir J. R. Dickson’s death. Lieut.-Colonel Collins responded on behalf of New Zealand to tho toast of “Kindred Associations.’ The" Earl of Hopetoun visited the range during the afternoon.

The Queen Victoria match was won by Gargett, Victoria, who scored 212, and secured the first prize of £IOO. There was an exciting finish, the winner beating Captain Hawker, of Victoria, by one point. Of the New Zealanders Wilson, who was 27th with 191, and Winslade 31st with 190, win £5 each.
