(By Our Special Reporter.) In the Glasgow Handicap there was a capital start. Firefly shot out, but gave way to Winsome and Solo, and the former led to the straight, when Solo took command. Regalia came with a great rush, but failed to get\ip. In the Hurdles Tim was first away, hut Bellman took command at the first hurdle, and was never headed. Nor’-west challenged him in the straight, but Bellman won easily. In the Perby there was an even start, with Beddington in front. Passing the stand the order was Beddington, Military, Renown, and Formula last. Renown closed up at the back of the course, and led four furlongs from the post, winning easily by three lengths. In the Midsummer Handicap the field got well away, and Field Battery led to the turn, when Scotty, Cressy, and Calibre challenged, and a great race resulted in a victory for Scotty by a short neck. In the County Handicap -Tabber was first away, with the field bunched to the distance post, when Solo drew out and looked all over a winner, but Val Rosa came with a startling run and won by a length. The A. R. C. Handicap gave a splendid start, and St. Peter made the running with several lengths advantage of Tortulla, Bluejacket next. Five furlongs from home the field closed in nnd Coronet in the van with Ilohoro following. A splendid race up the straight resulted in a victory for Coronet by half a length. In the Tony Handicap Orange and Blue led from the start to the distance cost when Lena and Mamoa put in a claim and a ding-dong finish resulted in a win for Mamoa by a head. In the Maiden Race a capital start was effected with Intrepid in the van, replaced by Yolee, Peerage last. At the back of the courss Peerage ran up and led at entrance to straight. She maintained her advantage to the distance post, when Matamata came strongly and won by two lengths.
