U.S. WOOL DUTY BILL
AUSTRALIAN CRITICISM MAY UNIFY EMPIRE TRADE CANBERRA, May 2G. The American Wool Bill is criticised in a circular issued by the Associated Chambers of Commerce of Australia, which says that although many American public men have stressed the need for America lo increase her imports, ■.he Wool Bill, if passed, will be an indication to the world that the ideal for which all countries are striving are gravely prejudiced by America’s inability to solve her internal political trade difficulties. It adds that the alternative to the proposed planned world order will be to draw the countries of the British Commonwealth together for self protection in a ruthless world trade war. The Minister for Post-War Reconstruction. Mr. J. J Deaman. who leaves for Geneva early next month, refused to comment on the position.
