DUTCH GIVE PROTECTION BATAVIA, May 23. The Pasoendan Party today took over the civil administration of the city of Buitenzorg ■ after a bloodless coud d’etat. Dutch troops are now guarding all public buildings in the city pending a decision in Batavia as to who will administer the city’s 60,000 inhabitants. Both Republican and Pasoendan , officials are said to agree with the action taken to maintain law and order by the Dutcn military commander. A Dutch communique giving details of events at buttenzorg says at 9.30 a.m. a delegation or oundanese, headed bv Dr. Koestomo. secretary of the ‘ Pasoendan Party, notified the commander of the Dutch troops in the city that the Pasoendan Party members had occupied several buildings of the Indonesian Republic. The delegation requested the protection of Dutch troops. The military commander issued instructions that nobody was to be molested in consequence of .the transition of authoriiv. For their personal protection the houses of Republican leaders weee guarded by Dutch troops.
