SHORTAGE OF LABOUR POSITION IN AUCKLAND Seven and a-half columns of situn‘ions vacant advertisements and less than half a column under the heading of situations wanted, in an Auckland newspaper on Wednesday .are accepted bv many employers in Auckland as being indicative of the present gap between staff required and staff available. Although the official figures of the National Employment Service in Auckland show that the number of unfilled vacancies recorded in its books at the end of April was slightlv smaller than at the e-d of March, a number of emDlovcrs stated on Wednesday .that in their experience the position had never been worse than at present.
