A grand-daughter of the laic Mr W F. Massey, jrime Minister of New Zealand. Miss Audrei Anne Massey has just gamed the degree of L.L.M. She is 22 years of age and has been employed by an Auckland legal firm for four years. This is the first time since 1924 that the L.L.M degree has been gained by a women student in Auckland. Advice of the bestowal of the Florence Nightingale Medal to Mrs Irene Flora Campbell, Hawke's Bay, has been received by the New Zealand Red Cross Society from the International Committee ol the Red Cross. The award of this medal is made by a special commission at Geneva. In or dinary circumstances the awards are made bi-annually. but none has been bestowed since 1941, because of the war.
