TE KARAKA NEWS

Gunner Alan .Tullock, Leading Aircraft man Mick Fisher, and Sapper Percy Clay den were the guests of the Te Karaka dis trict committee at a social and dance belt in the Wnikohu Hall on Tuesday evening On behalf of residents of the surrounding district, Mr. S. S. Smithers, president cl the Waikohu R.S.A., welcomed Gunner Tullock who had been invalided home from tlu Middle East and, in presenting him with a gift, congratulated him on his service abroad and wished him a speedy recovery in health. To L.A.C. Fisher and Sapper Clayden, whe were on leave from North Island camps, i fountain pen each was presented by Mr. Smithers with good wishes for their success. Dancing controlled by Messrs. W. Bartlett and Ivi. Hindrup was enjoyed to music supplied by Miss Una Reed. - The supper room was gaily decorated in red, white, ami blue and a dainty supper was served by lady members of the committee.
