AIR FORCE NEEDS

NO ADVICE FOR BOARD

(P.A.) AUCKLAND. June 3. “The air force does not come here and will not write and tell us what the position is,” said Mr. F. J. Cox, Crown representative, when an appeal by an insurance company for theexemption of an agency supervisor from the services was heard by the Armed Forces Appeal Board to-day. The company’s representative stated that the reservist was not a Grade I man, but had elected io serve in the air force. Mr. Cox said that if the air force were represented in such cases, or nave written information to the board of its needs, the board could weigh up the respective air force and industrial requirements.
