'the prder of the. Churchill, Auctions is Dunedin, Auckland, Wellington, and New Plymouth,.the first of these to be held on Wednesday. For the Auckland auction bn October 27. a 28-page catalogue has been issued, and the Wellington catalogue will run into about 20 pages. Copies are being sent .to leading collectors. Advice received by the Gisborne convener, Mr. D. G. Dyer, states that the Dominion organ.iser, Mr. Pat. Lawlor, v/ill endeavour to arrange for travelling permits for collectors desiring to travel to other centres to attend auctions. Sports Gear For Troops An appeal is being made to owners of jennis racquets and other sports gear not now being lise'd to. give of lend them to mobilised defence units. One unit in particular is .fortunately placed in having grass courts available to it. but is badly , understocked in the matter of racquets and . tennis balls. In view of the scarcity of hew season’s tennis balls men of this unit are now endeavouring, to collect such of last ..season’s balls as might ,be available for use in what is regarded as a valuable as, well as interestirig form of recreational training. ►
