STALINGRAD BATTLE TANKS AND INFANTRY AXIS HELD IN CAUCASUS (By Telegraph-Press Assn.—Copyright.) A supplement says that, at least AS German tanks were crippled ,to-day. and one infantry regiment annihilated in the Stqlingrad area, where, the Russians are repelling numerically superior forces.... .North-westward, of Stalingrad, numbers of guns, were destroyed and two infantry companies annihilated.- In another Sector: of.this front, the Rumanians were repelled with heavy losses. The German attacks in the Mosdok area were held and severe losses inflicted on the enemy, while in artillery duels and reconnaissance activity on, the central front the enemy lost 600 killed. "
