Tennis Season Opened
'f'he opening of the Metropolitan Tennis Club was held under ideal conditions on Saturday afternoon, when a Yankee tournament was conducted. The final was won by Miss S. Omundsen and L. Roderick after a close same with Mrs. Waple and Miss -I. Uigncy. the score being 6—4. Afternoon tea was served by the. lady members of the club. Included in those taking part in the opening tournament Were Mesdamea Watts, Herival, l’ocock.' Hill, Hankey, Odums, Waple, Swainson, Middleweek, Henderson,- ■ Kirkpatrick, Wilson, ;Lunken, Alley, and Dunphy; Misses Mopps; E. ‘Johnson, 1 C."
