England, sub-inspector, Wairoa, reported that following a statement that a rabbit had been seen on Harris’ Hill he, went over the country and looked in-every likely diace. but found no signs, while settlers and roadmen from whom he inquired had seen nothing. I-lares, however, were numerous there. . Rabbits reported killed in the southern" encf of' the' district wqre:— Waihua-railway line,. 2:' E. Pdwdrcll’s. 1; Mohaka native" block. 2;' Mohaka Crown lands, 3; Putere Crown land's. 2 and a nqst; Maungatanawha, 2: Waih'i, 1; Tarepatiki, 1; Pihanui. 2 and 3 runners; Cricklewoodv 1; Te Hoe, 1; total, 23. Thirteen rabbits were reported killed by the impector, Mr; H.' A: Burgess; Whakatan'eV as follow's: —Sandhills. 3; Te Teko, 2: Galatea. 4 and a nest; of 8; Miirapara, 1; Ngahuinga, 2: Whakatane. 1. Those present at the meeting were: Mr. E. M.- Hutchinson, chairman, Messrs. IVt: T, Trafford, E. M,- Monckton. and F. R. BoulcL representing: the Department of Agriculture.
