RAPID PROGRESS
WORK OF PARLIAMENT (P.R.) WELLINGTON, this day. With the no-confidence motion in the Government out of .the way, the House of Representatives yesterday settled down to business to such good purpose that four bills were passed, including the Medical Advertisements Bill, the Women Jurors (No. 2) Bill, and the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Bill. It had been intended to sit until 10.30 p.m., but in view of the progress that had been made, the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, decided to “call it a day,” remarking that he understood that this course would meet with the wishes of the House. The House adjourned at 9.9 p.m. until 10.30 a.m. to-day.
