ALCOHOL FROM WASTE

Wood liquor at present going oul through the waste pipes from papei mills may be converted to alcohol by injecting yeast and certain salts speeding fomentation, said a munitions and supply spokesman to press representatives. . He added that Canadian distilleries had been ordered to halt the production of beverage spirits and convert the entire output to war purposes.
