Majestic.—“ Kiss the Boys Good-bye” and “Federal Bullets” conclude to-night. A popular mid-week double-bill commences on Monday with Gene Autry in his latest stream-lined musical Western, "Down Mexico Way.” The associate feature, "Freckles Comes Home,” is a bright comedy-romance starring Johnny Downs and Gale Storm. The serial is ‘‘Jungle Girl,” chapter 10, which commences at 1.45 and 7.45 p.m. King’s.—“A Gentleman After Dark,” the dramatic adaptation of Richard YVashburn Child’s now famous magazine story, “A Whiff.of Heliotrope,” the Edward Small production now showing at the King’s Theatre, can boast of an excellent east. Three popular stars of the screen share the leading roles, Brian Donlevy, Miriam Hopkins and Preston Foster. Brian Donlevy plays the title role, a sympathetic one for the first time in his career, even though it is that of a jewel thief. Regent.—A treat for music-loVers is provided by Nelson Eddy and Riße Stevens, Metropolitan Opera star, making her screen debut, in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s sparkling musical comedy, .‘‘The Chocolate Soldier,” adapted from the sly fun fable, “The Guardsman” and set to the lilting melodies of Oscar Strauss’ operetta. A strong array of featurettes include "Strange Testament, Diary of a Polish Airman,” and the newsreels show scenes of the Battle of Madagascar, the sinking of the aircraft-carrier Lexington, and other headline news.
