Cost of Water Loan Giving figures in regard to the cost of the loan proposal involving the expenditure of £45,000 to be placed before the ratepayers in to-morrow’s poll, the Mayor, Mr. N. H. Bull, told a public meeting last night that the interest and sinking fund would be £2435, and with annual pumping charges the total cost would be £2745. This would equal 4s lOd per £IOO on, the unimproved value. Patriotic Delegates At the last meeting of the East Coast Provincial Patriotic Council the names of the Mayor, M’r. N. H. Bull, who is chairma'n of the council, Mr. Chas. Matthews, deputy chairman, and the secretary, Mr. W. M. Jenkins, were submitted as delegates to the National Patriotic Fund Board conference next month. It was pointed out by the secretary to-day that the intention was npt ’to send more than two delegates, who wb'uld be selected from the three mentioned.
