FIRST TROPHY ROUND
MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB SODERSTEN GETS POSSIBLE Members of the Gisborne Miniature Rifle Club completed the first round of the No. 8 Trophy Series with a fair attendance at the range. High scoring was a feature of the A Grade results and E. Sodersten carried olf all the honours with a splendid possible. The B Grade match again produced excellent competition, which resulted in a tie between A. Gardner and A. L. Beets, each of whom registered targets of 96. The ladder badge was won by G. Butler, who also scored 96. Mrs. E. Sodersten headed the handicap list in the Women’s Bivision, while the ladder badge went to Mrs. Sutcliffe. Keen interest wns exhibited in the Pistol Match, which resulted in nine competitors attaining the standard score of 28. The shoot-off to decide last week’s trophy concluded in a win for S. Forbes.
