ARMY AND AIR FORCE (British Official Wireless.) (1.30 p.m.) RUGBY, Oct. 11. The Minister of Supply. Captain O. Lyttelton, has appointed General Sir W. K. Venning, who retired recently from the post of Quartermaster-Gen-eral to the forces, to be directorgeneral of the British supply mission in Washington in succession to Mr. E. P. Taylor, who has resigned on account of ill-health. He has also appointed Mr. J. C. Patteson, the pres.ent director-general of supply services in the Ministry, to be the Minister of Supply representative in Canada. The Air Ministry has announced the appointment of Air Marshal Sir J. S. T. Bradley to the Air Ministry as deputy air member for supply and organisation vice Aih Vice-Marshal D. G. Donald. The latter has been appointed with the acting rank of air marshal, to be air officer commander-in-chief, Maintenance Command, vice Air Marshal Bradley.
