DUTY TO REGISTER
WORKERS’ OBLIGATION
Under the industrial man-power emergency. regulations, 1942, thebe is a duty devolving upon workers in .specified industries such as, th'e metal, building and engineering trade's and upon females who attain the age of 20 and males vvho reach 46 years to register for employment with the nearest district man-power .officer. . It is possible that there are, persons who should have registered in the trade groups, having worked at their trades for 12 months wit,hin IS years and who have not fulfilled their obligations under, the Act. , As far as the age groups are concerned it is evident that there are numerous cases in Gisborne of females arid males who have reached the ages of 20 and 4G respectively, arid who have, not registered. It should be noted that persons who should have registered and have not done so render themselves liable to prosecution and severe penalties. The necessary registration forms may be obtained at the post office or from the district man-power (industrial) office. ! '
