Stock Embargo

Sir, —I note a very disturbing piece of news in Wednesday’s paper. I trust those that advocate lifting the stock embargo Will thoroughly digest it. Think what it would mean to New Zealand if we had the same here —the destroying of 100 herds of dairy-cattle at a 1 time-like this,* when the 1 milk-is so sorely needed. I .would*-ask 1 them to come out-and work whole-heartedly to tighten up and -not relax the embargo- before it is too late. W. PERYER.
