Despite* stormy weather, there was a Kooii attendance lit the weekly card evening held iu the Waikohu Hall In support of the Te Karaka candidate in the patriotic baby campaign. Mr. J. Goodley was in 'Charge of the euchre tournament, the winners being’:— Ladies.—Mrs. W. Greggan, 1 ; Mrs. W. Bartlett, 2. Gentlemen.—Mr. G. Wilkins, 1 ; Mr. W. E. Lane, 2. Additional prizes.—Mrs. Patou and Mrs. J. Goodloy. • In auction bridge the highest score was returned by Miss V. Seamons. Mrs. L. Taylor, Opoutnmn, has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. E. Bradley.— Miss Joan Cotter! 11, Hawke's Bay, .is the guest of Mjss D. 'Pedersen.
