MATCH SHORTAGE
POSITION IN BRITAIN OUTPUT OF LIGHTERS (British Official Wireless.) (10.30 a.m.) RUGBY, Aug. 28. The consumption of matches in Britain is about half of that before the war, but u severe shortage is now anticipated. The output of utility lighters has reached 8000 during the past two weeks and it is hoped soon to reach the target figure of 100,000 weekly.
