MAC HU, Secretary. 223 COAL AND FIREWOOD We the undersigned, Wood and Coal Merchants of Gisborne, wish to notify the public that owing to difficult trading conditions, depletion of staffs, shortage of stationery, etc., we are reluctantly compelled to trade under the following conditions as from August 31: — Strictly cash on or before delivery. Customers are also asked to provide coal boxes and on no account will goods be left in sacks owing to the shortage of same. Owing to the serious shortage ol tyres and lo conserve same, deliveries can only be made on three days per week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Orders must be in the office the day previous, except Monday,' on which day orders will be taken up to 10 a.m., and if possible will be delivered that day. Also owing to the shortage of drivers, customers can greatly assist by having the correct or near correct change to save drivers’ time. PROVIDED that any person who before 28th August. 1942, has manufactured any of them which does not conform to these requirements may use, sell, or otherwise dispose of them before Ist January, 1943. 3. Within ’seven days after 27th August, 1942, every manufacturer of them who has in his possession or control any boxes or cartons not conforming to the foregoing requirements shall furnish to the Factory Controller full written particulars stating the quantity of each type. 4.
