PATROLS AND ARTILLERY ALLIED AIR ATTACKS (11 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 28. A communique issued in Cairo states that during Wednesday night iiUr pa.trol activity continued. Enemy working parties were engaged and harassed by our patrols and artillery in the northern and central sectors. .. Yesterday, land operations wereeonfined to artillery exchanges. Our fighters and bombers again at l tacked concentrations of enemy transport in the southern sector. An enemy vessel which had previously been attacked by our torpedocarrying aircraft was sighted and observed to be on fire north-west of Crete.

Enemy aircraft which attempted to fly over a delta landing ground was attacked by fighters and last seen on lire and losing height.
