White’s offices. • EAST COAST PATRIOTIC COUNCIL 993 COAL AND FIREWOOD We the undersigned, Wood and Coal Merchants of Gisborne, wish to notify the public that owing to difficult trading conditions, depletion of staffs, shortage of stationery, etc., we are reluctantly compelled to trade under the following conditions as from August 31:— Strictly cash on or before delivery. Customers are also asked to provide coal boxes and on ho account will goods be left in sacks owing to the shortage of same. Owing to the serious shortage of tyres and to conserve same, deliveries can only be made on three days per week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Orders must be in the office the day previous, except Monday, on which jay orders will be taken up to 10 a.m., and if possible will be delivered that Jay. Also owing to the shortage of customers - can' greatly assist oy having the correct or near correct change to save drivers’ time. Advise office when ordering if change of £5 note or over is required. COUPON-FREE GOODS. Infantees (with soft soles). Copies of Clothing Rationing Coupon Notice, 1942, Nos. 1,2 and 3 may be purchased on application to the Government Printer, Wellington, Price Bd. After 31st August, 1942, no trader may supply rationed materials to consumers except on surrender of clothing permits or coupons. All persons or organisations having on this date authorities to purchase under certificate must present such certificates to rationing officers for the issuance of necessary permit. DISPOSAL OF COUPONS. On written approval of rationing Controller, traders may now gum coupons to duplicate copy of relative sales docket. Dockets must be clearly prepared and available for inspection at any time by an authorised official. Except as provided above; all “M" coupons must be forwarded to the Rationing Controller, Box 3027, Wellington at the end of every month. Coupons should be counted and enclosed in an envelope enfaced with' number of coupons and name and address of sender. “X” coupons must be forwarded with monthly, hosiery return, prepared to show the stock position as at close of business on 19th of every month. Statements of stocks should show one total for fully-fashioned hosiery of silk, art-silk j or any mixture thereof, and one for all other kinds. TEA AND SUGAR COUPONS FOR SEPTEMBER, 1942.
