TRANSPORT OF TROOPS (Reed. Jan. 12. 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Jan. 11. The War Department disclosed tbday that a number of large transport gliders designed to carry air-borne infantrymen and full fighting equipment have been delivered to the Army Air Force. They are similar to those the Nazi air force used in Crete and have a wingspan of 80ft.
