BRITISH SUBMARINES MEDITERRANEAN ATTACK BIG TRANSPORT SUNK (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.; (British Ollieinl Wireless.) Reed. 1 p.m. RUGBY. Jan. 11. An Admiralty communique states that the Commander-in-Chief in the Mediterranean reports that 'submarines under his command have torpedoed a large enemy transport and a medium-seized supply vessel in the lonian Sea. The transport, which was laden with troops, was sunk. Although the supply ship was not seen to sink it was so severely damaged that its destruction is considered probable?
