GEN. SMUTS ON WAR ‘MOST DANGEROUS PHASE' (Reed. Jan. 12, 9 a.m.) CAPETOWN, Jan. 11. The South African Prime Minister, General J. C. Smuts, in a speech, declared: “The war has entered its last and most dangerous phase. Germany has mobilised her 1 last resources by pushing in Japan. Despite setbacks which have occurred and will occur, I am confident about the end.”
