(Herald Correspondent.) Miss Peggy Tocker, Tnneatua, is the truest of Mr. and Mrs., W. Hale—Mrs. G. Croon and family are staying with relatives in Gis-borne.—-TVlr. A. Blair, Wellington, is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs'. F. J, Blair.— Miss S. Shelton is on holiday in Gisborne. A meeting was' held on Thursday evening of residents' interested in, the E.P.S. The organiser, Mr. A. G.~ Lucaß, To Karaka, explainer! the details of the scheme in case of invasion, and committees were formed to receive evacuees should the occasion arise. A further meeting is to be held on Tuesday evening by the members of the three committees to make final arrangements.
