Miss Pamela Lewis, Palmerston road, left yesterday morning for a short visit to Wellington. ; Mr. Raymond Hall, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hall, Rutene road, leaves on Monday to report at Ohakea station, Royal New Zealand Air Force. His brother Kevin is at present serving as a flight mechanic with the Royal New Zealand Air Force overseas. Mr. H. Tai Mitchell. C.M.G., of Rotorua, has been elected chairman of the Arawa Trust Board for the seventh time in succession. He has held office for the past 18 years. Advice him been received by Mrs. R. J. Turnbull that her husband, Sergeant Reginald James Turnbull, who was reported a fortnight ago to be wounded, has been removed from the seriously ill list.
