TALK OF ARMISTICE
FEELING IN FINLAND AN UNPOPULAR WAR (Reed. Jan. 10, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 9. Therefore, now, after attaining the strategic goal, why continue an increasingly unpopular war?
Reports from Helsinki received in the United States insist that the conclusion of a Russo-Finnish armistice is imminent and is supported by a vast majority of Finns, while it is opposed only by a few politicians and militarists, particularly Marshal Mannerheim.
