Army and E.P.S.

Sir, —The Mayor of Wellington is raising another serious controversy respecting the relative merits of the army and E.P.S. What could the do without the army? In case of an invasion they would be completely at a loss without the army at hand to repel the invader. I was pleased to note that the local E.P.S, placed the army first in an appeal foimen for the defence forces and this shows balance and a grip of the fitness of things. Unfortunately, we have already lost a lot of lives and valuable material through lack of-units owing to certain people insisting on being top-dogs. Let-us drop all differences and work under one unified control, the army. Remember our enemies work unitedly. ’ COMMON SENSE.
