500 Motor Cycles Wanted
Five hundred modern type motorcycles are at present being sought by the Government in the Auckland district. At present, use >is not being made of the impressment powers held by the authorities, but if the requisite number is not offered, suitable machines will be impressed. Transport Department inspectors have been occupied in the past few days interviewing owners, but it was . stated in Auckland by Mr. E. J. Phelan, No. 1 Transport Licensing Authority, that the response was slight.
