Nelson’s centennial celebration programme arranged for January 31 and early in February has been severely curtailed on account of the war situation. Zealand organisations, including the Municipal Association, had. arranged . to., hold their aririual conferences at Nelson, though no cancellations have yet, brien rijade, it is unlikely that many will eventuate. The reopening of the schools had ben advanced a wrick to allow the children to take part, but they will now reopen on the original date, February 3.
