HEAVY HAIL STORM
GRAIN CROPS DESTROYED (Per Press. Association.) ASHBURTON, this day. Heavy hail -last, evening is said to have completely destroyed a total 300 acres of wheat and about 150 acres 6f oats in the Laiiriston district, damaging other, crops to. an, extent estimated from 1.0 to 50 per cent. The crops were cut down in places to the bases of the stalks.
