Iving’s.—Commencing to-day at the King’s, Alexander Korda, the producer of “Lady Hamilton” and “Thief of Bagdad,” presents another of his superb productions, “Lydia,” lustrous with a dozen bright stars, headed by Merle Oberon and supported by George Reeves, Joseph Cotton, and Edna May Oliver. Regent.—The music of Noel Coward, without doubt some of the most charming ever to reach the screen, finds its perfect interpreters in Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy, the incomparable song team united again in the picturisation of the Coward operetta, “Bitter Sweet,” which commences to-day. Majestic.—Two widely - different dramas comprise to-day’s change of programme. Eerie thrills pervade “Man Made Monster” (Lon Chaney, jun., and Lionel Atwill). Action and adventure are the highlights in “Mutiny in the Arctic” (Richard Arlen and Andy Devine). The bargain matinee will begin to-morrow at 1.30.
