NAVAL PROMOTIONS
SERVICE RECOGNISED (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 12.30 p.m. RUGBY, Dec. 28. In recognition of services in action against the Graf von Spec, the Admiralty has announced the following promotions, all to dace as from December 13, 1939: — Commander D. H. Everett, of I-I.M.S. Ajax to be promoted to captain. Lieutenant-Commander R. B. .Jennings and Lieutenant-Commander C. L. Smith of H.M.S. Exeter and Liculen-ant-Convnander P- T. A. Love of I-I.M.S. Achilles to be promoted to commander. Engineer-Corn nander T. C. S. Noake of H.M.S. Ajax to be promoted engineer-captain
