STUNG TO DEATH

THREE-YEAR-OLD BOY BRISBANE,. Dec.. 21. A Portuguese man-o’-war- fatally stung Patrick Pauli, aged three, only son of Mr. William Frederick Pauliof Wharf street, Brisbane, at Proserpine to-day. This is the fifth death from the stings of Portuguese man-p’-war in 32 years. The boy was stung on the leg when he was walking in Bin. of water. As he screamed and stamped his feet, the stings became more extensive, and he ran a few feet to the beach and collapsed. He was given first aid, but died before the arrival of the ambulance.
