AUSTRALIAN PLAYERS Unless the other Sheffield Shield States agree, J. G. Lush, H. Mudge, J. Walsh and V. E. Jackson will not be able to play cricket for New South Wales this season. This is due to the fact that they will not be residentially qualified until they have again resided three months in New South Wales. All four players recently returned from England after playing with Sir Julien Cahn’s team. The Sheffield Shield programme ends on January 30, so they will be unable to fulfil the necessary residential qualification.
