New South Wales irv the first innings made 240 runs at a cost of five wickets. Mudge made 79 and Barnes 78 not out. In the Sheffield Shield match at Melbourne against South Australia, Victoria in the first innings made 289 runs for five wickets. Millet made 108 1 and Hassett 92.
