CARPENTER’S FAILURE
WHAKAKI MAORI FAMILY EXPENSES BLAMED (Special to the Herald.) WAIROA, this day. A deficiency of £149 5s 7d was shown in the bankrupt estate of Rewi Munro, a carpenter of Whakaki, a meeting of whose creditors was formally called for yesterday but which on account of the legal holidays was adjourned until January 16. In his personal statement the bankrupt set out that he had got behind with his accounts lor a considerable time, due mainly to expenses incurred in connection with his large family. He stated that he was out ot work for a long time during the slump and he then got further behind. He was trying to pay his accounts off gradually, but found that it was impossible. As he had been pressed by a number of creditors he found it necessary to file,
