NORTH-WEST GERMANY ONE PLANE MISSING (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 12.30 p.m. RUGBY, Dec. 28. The Air Ministry announced last night that a successful reconnaissance of north-west Germany was carried out by Royal Air Force aircraft on Wednesday. One of the British aircraft failed to return. A Berlin message quotes a German High Command communique stating: "Two British planes attempted to fly over the German coast. A lighter shot down one and anti-aircraft gunners drove of! the other.”
