CHOKED BY PEANUT
LITTLE GIRL’S DEATH SYDNEY. Dec. 10 Joy Elizabeth Thompson, aged ?. was choked to death by a peanut, which she was trying to swallow a; her home in Moretcn street. I.alcemha. on Saturday. The police were told that the child was with her nine-year-old brother in the bade yard while their fa the • was woi'king in the garden. The bov was eating peanuts, and when his sister asked for one she tried to swallow it, but it lodged in her throat. Her father made frantic efforts to dislodge the peanut, and a doctor was called. The eirl was then tusked -o Canterbury Hospital, but she died.
