POSSIBLE ASSISTANCE SOUTH AFRICA’S REPLY MOST POSITIVE SO FAR OFFER OF AEROPLANES (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Dec. 27, 2.50 p.m.) GENEVA, Dec. 2G. South Africa so far has sent the most positive reply to the inquiry made by the League of Nations regarding proposed assistance to Finland, declaring that she intended to send Finland aircraft previously earmarked for the defence of the Union of South Argentina, Ecuador, Venezuela, Haiti, Bolivia and Mexico have informed the league of their profound sympathy with Finland and their readiness to assist as far as possible, although no mention of military help is made. Peru, while appreciating the moral value of the-Assembly’s resolution, is unable to support it.
