Mr. E. Dodd returned to Waipukurau yesterday after visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Dodd,, Harris street.
Mrs. A. Carson, Iranui road, accompanied by her daughter, Miss Alison Carson, left to-day on a visit to Auckland.
Misses Jill Carey, Mavis Gunn, Pat Gunn, Gisborne, and Gerry O’Dowda have left New Plymouth to spend a camping holiday at Oakura Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Moore, Palmerston North, are spending a camping holiday, going to Hick’s Bay, via Gisborne, and returning through Rotorua.
Mr. and Mrs. Brian Smith, Waimata Valley, were the guests of the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Sheriff, Lyell road, for Christmas.
Miss Winifred Lysnar, Stout street, left yesterday to take a Girl Guide camp on the property of Mrs. Mcßae, “Springhill,” Frasertown.
Miss J. Kendon, Wellington, is spending her vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Kendon, Whitaker street.
Mrs. Meredith and Mr. F. Wells, who have been the guests of Mrs. H, E. Dodd, Harris street, returned to Waipukurau yesterday.
Sister N. F. Creed Meredith, of the Church Army, is spending her vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Creed Meredith, Wi Pore street.
Miss A. L. Rees, Russell street, has been spending a few days with Mrs. W. Graham, ‘‘Ngakaroa,” Ormond.
Miss W. Creed Meredith, principal of the Narowal Mission School, Punjab, India, and Miss K. Hughes, a member of the staff, are attending a Bible class camp in Masterton.
Miss A. Twigg, accompanied by her nephew, Lieutenant J. Twigg, who is on final leave, returned to Napier on Tuesday after visiting the Misses Orr, Kanakanaia.
Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Pyke, Manutuke, are on holiday at Wainui Beach.
