The Apostolic Delegate has conveyed to President Roosevelt the Pope’s “very great joy’’ over the message addressed to the Pope and other leaders of churches urging parallel endeavours for world peace and the alleviation of suffering. The P.ope also expressed his “profound gratitude at the choice of Mr. Myra C. Taylor as Mr. Roosevelt's personal representative at the Vatican. The Pope is making a personal official reply to the President.
