ADVICE OF DE VALERA
EARLY CONFERENCE NATIONS AT WAR (Reed. Dec. 27, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 25. The Eire Prime Minister, Mr. E. de Valera, broadcasting to America, declared that the belligerents should seek a settlement instead of waiting until exhaustion compelled them to adopt that course. “A conference will be inevitable eventually and commonsense suggests that it should be tried before the war has wrought its full havoc,” said Mr. de Valera.
