TRANSPORT ORDERS

MEN ASKED TO REPORT Arrangements for the return of First Echelon troops to camp are left to the choice of individuals, each man’ being under the obligation to report upon the due date, with no restriction placed upon the order of his return. For this reason, it is not possible to give the exact number of men who will leave Gisborne to-morrow morning, or to detail the pex-sonnel of the party. It is estimated, however, that the contingent will have a strength of between 40 and 50 men.

In order that transport arrangements may work smoothly, all - First Echelon men who will travel by service car leaving Gisborne at 2 a.m. tomorrow are recommended by Major A. Blackburn to telephone their names to the Duco office before 8 o’clock tnis evening, or call and file their names with the dispatch clerks. If this recommendation is complied with, it will be possible to provide cars sufficient for the contingent, but not exceeding the seating capacity required.
