RIVER TRAGEDY
HOLE-IN-WALL DEATH BOY’S BODY RECOVERED Police searchers with grapnels today located the body of Douglas Brown, aged nine, who disappeared yesterday while bathing at the Hole-in-the-Wall, a popular Waimata River rendezvous. The discovery was made at 11 a.m. to-day, almost exactly 24 hours after the lad was last seen alive by his father, Mr. Leicester Brown, Wellington street, who was a member of the holiday party which Douglas Brown accompanied to the picnic spot. An inquest has been fixed for 11 a.m. to-morrow.
