An engagement is announced between Alister Bain, eldest son of Mi’s. M. Pinching, Whitaker street, Gisborne, and Olga Alma Dorothy, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Maseinann, Disraeli street, Gisborne.
The engagement is announced of William Henry, only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Adair, Waiwhenua, Muriwai, and Barbara Maude, younger daughter of Mrs. J. Hutchinson, Gisborne, and the late Mr. John Hutchinson, Victoria, British Columbia.
Private C. R. McLernon, Gisborne, who was originally posted to the Divisional Petrol Company, has been transferred to the Wellington Rifle Battalion, with which he proceeds overseas with the First Echelon of- the iNew Zealand Division.
